Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Basic/Tactical Pilots' Course FEE: $510 LOCATION: Alameda County Sheriff's Office - Regional Training Center, 6289 Madigan Road, Dublin CA 94568 [MAP] DESCRIPTION: This 40-hour course is focused on providing participants with hands-on experience to assist them in developing pilot skills, address various drone systems, identify public safety sector applications, and to prepare for certification. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will: Demonstrate understanding of 14 CFR Parts 48 and 107 Prepare for the FAA Small UAS Remote Pilot Knowledge Test Possess the knowledge and skills for basic tactical operations Identify public safety uses and applications, maintenance, FAA regulations, piloting skills, and safety best practices INSTRUCTOR(S): Are all currently assigned to the ACSO Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Unit PRESENTATION HOURS: This is a 40-hour (5 day) course.
