Forensic Breath Alcohol Analysis Training-PM FEE: $0.00 LOCATION: Crime Laboratory - Peralta Oaks Facility, 2901 Peralta Oaks Court, 1st Floor [MAP] NOW TRAINING ON THE DRAEGER ALCOTEST 9510 DESCRIPTION: This course provides law enforcement personnel with comprehensive instruction on the theory, operation, and practical use of the Draeger Alcotest 9510 Breath Alcohol Testing Device, as well as an overview of legal considerations related to breath alcohol testing. Students will receive hands-on training using a Draeger Alcotest 9510 and must successfully complete both a written examination and a practical proficiency test. INSTRUCTOR(S): All instructors are certified by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Crime Laboratory. PREREQUISITES: Enrollment is restricted to active law enforcement personnel. CERTIFICATION: POST Cert #1010-20322, POST Plan IV PRESENTATION HOURS: 1300-1700 hours (4 hours total) REQUIRED EQUIPMENT / ATTIRE: Student dress code at the Peralta Oaks Facility – Crime Lab is business casual. No shorts, sleeveless shirts, or open-toed shoes are permitted. RESERVATIONS: This course is limited to 16 students, and reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
